Healthy Pita Bread Pizza
Healthy Pita Bread Pizza (Optional Burger/Chicken option!)
1 whole wheat pita bread (optional substitution: whole wheat tortilla)
1/2 cup organic marinara sauce or pesto
1/2 cup blended (white/yellow) cheese
1/4 cup sliced bell-peppers (raw or sautéed)
1/4 cup sliced raw spinach
1/4 cup sautéed mushrooms
1/4 cup sautéed onions
1/2 cup ground hamburger meat or chicken breast
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Line baking sheet with parchment paper and place pita bread/tortilla on top of paper
Smooth marinara sauce and/or pesto over pita bread/tortilla
Layer all ingredients and bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is golden brown and bubbly!
Serve with fresh salad and sparkling water!
