Ham and Cheese Sliders

  • 8 gluten free buns 

    • (I personally use the brand called Udi’s, which can be found in most stores in the organic section. The bread may also be in the refrigerator section, so be sure to check there, too!) *note: you don’t have to use gluten free buns, just look for a good, wholesome organic bun in your local food market if that is your preference! :) 

  • ½ pound honey ham

  • ¼ cup yellow mustard 

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup 

  • ¼ cup organic mayonnaise 

  • 8 thinly sliced pieces cheddar cheese 

  • ¾ cup white or yellow onion 

  • ¼ tsp pink himalayan or kosher salt 

  • ¼ tsp black pepper 

  • ¼ tsp multi-purpose seasoning (like Trader Joes 21 Salute!) 


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray.

  3. Slice all buns in half (top and bottom). 

  4. Next, spray a small sized fry pan with non stick spray and add onions, salt, pepper, and 21 salute seasoning. Saute onions until tender and set aside. 

  5. In a small mixing bowl, add: mayonnaise, mustard, and maple syrup, mix well then spread a thin layer on the top and bottom of each roll (inside).

  6. Next, add 1 piece of ham and a layer of sauteed onions to each roll.

  7. Lastly, place one piece of cheese on top of ham/onion mixture.

  8. Complete process until all buns are filled.

  9. Place top roll on buns.

  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Make it a meal! This dish pairs great with our homemade applesauce on the side! You go girl! xo!
