Healthy Burgers

Blossoming Mommy and Baby | Healthy Burgers

Serving Size: 4 burgers


  • 1 lb ground beef 

  • ½ tsp garlic powder 

  • ½ tsp onion powder 

  • 1 egg 

  • ¼ tsp kosher or pink himilayan salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper  

  • 1 large avocado 

  • 1 large red tomato 

  • ¼ cup sliced red onion

  • 8 (large leaf) Romaine lettuce 

  • ½ cup sliced dill or bread + butter pickles 


  1. Preheat grill or stove to medium heat.

  2. In a medium sized bowl, combine: ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix with hands and form into patties. 

  3. Spray grill or stove with non-stick spray and “grill/fry” patties over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until done. 

  4. Next, peel and mash avocado in a medium size bowl. Slice tomatoes and onion, and wash lettuce. 

  5. Once burgers are done, use lettuce as “bun” and layer: burger, avocado, tomato, onion, and pickle. 

  6. Feel free to top with additional sauces including: organic mayonnaise, ketchup, or mustard!
