Crockpot Baked Ziti

Serving size: 6-7 servings


  • 1 16oz packaged ziti noodles  

  • 2x 24 oz organic red marinara pasta sauce 

  • 1 8 oz can diced tomatoes 

  • 1 cup of water 

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup 

  • 1 Tbsp liquid aminos 

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey burger 

  • ½ cup chopped white or yellow onion 

  • ½ cup chopped mushrooms 

  • ⅓ cup freshly chopped basil 

  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes 

  • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning 

  • 1 Tbsp granulated garlic powder 

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese 

  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese 

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese 

  • ¼ cup sour cream 

  • 2 eggs 

  • Salt and pepper to taste. 


  1. Plug crockpot in and set to low. 

  2. To crockpot add: marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, water, maple syrup, liquid aminos, onion, mushrooms, basil, parsley, itlaian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. 

  3. Next, brown burger on stove top for ~10 minutes or until done. Drain grease, then transfer into crockpot. 

  4. Next, in a medium sized bowl, add: mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese, sour cream and egg. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to cheese mixture. Then whisk with fork until evenly blended. 

  5. Add pasta to crockpot and use spoon to stir hard noodles into mixture. 

  6. Lastly, evenly pour cheese mixture on top of marinara mixture. Use spoon to enure cheese is evenly distributed. 

  7. Place lid on crockpot and let cook for 2-3 hours on LOW!

Make it a meal! This crockpot baked ziti is SOOOOO yum when paired with the cucumber feta detox salad! Enjoy, friend!
