6 Natural Remedies For Seasonal Allergies

This month’s remedy is ALL about helping you develop a natural plan of attack for seasonal allergies! I know how frustrating it can be to manage allergies, so keeping a list of no-fail remedies is KEY for a healthy, happy family! Keep these 6 steps at your fingertips and refer back to as needed!

  1. Air Filter and Humidifier. The air filter works wonders to purify the air in your home and helps to clear out the yucky gunk that could be adding to allergy irritation! A cool mist humidifier adds moisture to the air and helps to sooth the nostrils!

  2. Wash Sheets and Towels Regularly. Get in the habit of stripping sheets and towels and washing them weekly! This will help remove buildup and irritants!

  3. Probiotics. Finding a good, natural probiotic is so important for building up the immune system and helps to balance gut bacteria. (Here are two of my recommendations: Option 1, Option 2) *affiliate links.

  4. Local, Organic Honey. Adding 1-2 tablespoons or natural, locally sourced honey is a great way to boost your immune system and is believed to help the body adjust/adapt to allergens within your current environment!

  5. Neti Pot. This little tool is AMAZING for flushing out your sinuses! Just use a sterile saline solution, put your head over the sink, stick the spout into one nostril and let it drain out the other! I switch sides about half way through :)

  6. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). ACV is believed to have MEGA immune boosting benefits and helps to get rid of gunk in your system (like mucous!). Try mixing one tablespoon with 1/4 cup of water 2x per day.
