Nurturing Foods for Nausea

Hey, mama! The miracle and magic of pregnancy doesn’t come without its fair share of obstacles, including nausea and morning (all-day) sickness. Of course these obstacles we endure are all incredibly worth it once we get to hold our precious bundle, but have you ever wondered if there were some proactive choices you could make to make the challenges we face a bit more bearable?! (Psst... for some extra proactive-ness, make sure you're enrolled inside our pregnancy prep program... ALLL THE THAAANGS PREGNANCY PREP + HEALTH!) We have ALL heard the stories of nausea which can be an early sign of pregnancy (it SO WAS for me and y'all know I shared a TON of this over on my insta stories!) or that can last well into the second and third trimesters. Us mamas are dealing with extreme changes in our hormones which can lead to morning sickness, so let’s chat about nausea during pregnancy and how us girls can nurture our bodies through FOOD to lessen or keep away nausea,whether you are pregnant or not!

Unique Hydration

Staying hydrated is vital for our bodies without growing a baby, so, if you are pregnant this one is a non-negotiable, sister! Along with drinking plenty of water throughout the day, these hydrating foods can help keep your H2O levels up to help your body function at its highest capacity and to keep that little babe healthy!

  • Cucumber

  • Celery

  • Watermelon

  • Coconut Water

Nutrient Dense Foods

Superfoods are the secret weapons! These foods are TRUE secret in today’s post. These little known, yet everyday foods help keep nausea at bay, and BOY are they complete life savers! Vitamin-rich, whole foods are the name of the game during pregnancy and Vitamins A, B6, C, and K are just a few that pack a double punch, in combating nausea while also aiding in the brain and nervous system development for that little bean inside of you! How’s that for efficiency, girlfriend?!

  • Bananas

  • Avocados

  • Dark Leafy Greens

  • Sweet Potatoes

  • Red Peppers

  • Carrots

Mommy, I encourage you to put these foods into your regular food rotation and begin seeing and FEELING the benefits of eating foods to help with nausea and nurture your pregnancy journey.
