Your Stress Free, Simplified Morning Routine:

How do YOU, the modern Momma, create a stress-free, simplified morning routine? By following these BMAB approved 5 steps of course! Living a chaotic, day to day life is NOT good for your health OR the health and heart of your home. I want you to work HARD at creating an environment that is streamlined, organized, and efficient, Mommas. Yes- it is hard work! But I promise you, it is SO rewarding to see yourself and your children thrive in an environment that is NOT full of chaos. And this, sweet friend starts with YOU. Roll your sleeves up, it’s time to get to work!

  1. Lay out Everything The Night Before

    • LAY OUT EVERYTHING the night before! Lunches, clothes, after school gear, the next day’s schedule, backpacks, workout bags, snacks…EVERYTHING. Take the extra 45 minutes- 1 hour each night to get yourself and your kids organized for the next day. When you take out the stress of having to do all of these tasks first thing in the morning, you might slowly start enjoying those early hours and hot coffee just a little more!

  2. Wake Up Before Your Kids

    • This is ALSO huge. If you want chaos, start your day with your kids. If you want to feel centered, calm, and grounded, start your day with Jesus and yourself. Seriously, Mommas. Think about it, if you take the extra 60 minutes to wake up before your entire house is up and get your workout in, read the bible, shower, put yourself together, THEN go wake your kids up, you will feel SO much better about the start of your day (promise). Hear more tips about How to Wake Up Earlier here! This tip is tough, I’m not going to lie here, we’d all like to sleep a few extra minutes in the morning, so get used to the self-discipline it takes! Just remember, by waking up early, you can intentionally start your day off on the right foot!

  3. Play Calming or Uplifting Music NOT Television

    • Classical music over sponge bob everyday. Okay, you don’t HAVE to play classical music (although we LOVE it here in the Blossom house!)~ just pick a tune or playlist that is uplifting for you and your children. Not only are you helping your kiddos wake up with peace and gratitude, but you’re also setting tech/screen boundaries which is VITAL for a healthy home. Way to go Momma!

  4. Have A Simple + Savvy Breakfast Game Plan

    • Please, please, please don’t count sugary cereals as a simple breakfast plan. Having a simple breakfast plan could mean meal preparing overnight oats, gluten free pancakes, healthy banana bread, a healthy egg bake you made the night before, an oatmeal bake, or fresh fruit and yogurt. Have a game plan and get ORGANIZED with your meals in the morning. When you’re prepared, you’re less likely to fall in the trap of buying freezer made meals or artificially infused “quick” dishes. Take the extra time, Momma. You can do it- and your kiddos will thank you!

  5. Grab N’ Go

    • Lastly, make sure everything in your house has a home! Kid’s shoes, coats, lunch boxes, car keys.. you name it! One of the quickest ways to add stress to your morning is to not know where your belongings are. Make sure you’ve identified everything you need to grab the night before (especially your keys!) and my friend, you’re well on your way to a healthy, happy, and successful morning!
