Ice Cube Tray Hacks

Hey girlfriend! Hope you are having a fabulous week! Over the years we have shared a few nontraditional ways to use ice cube trays with our Abundant Motherhood Club Members. Last year we had a great Morning Sickness recipe for all the mama’s to be, earlier this year we shared an awesome recipe for Aloe Vera Cubes and another one for making baby food! But unless your holiday plans include awful morning sickness (so sorry, Mama!), lounging on hot beach or making homemade baby food, you probably won’t be making those anytime soon. But there are still plenty of ways to use that ice cube tray!

Here are some of our favorites:

  1. Olive Oil & Herb Cubes– this is an AMAZING option for preserving herbs from your garden or those that you buy in the store. By freezing the herbs in oil you maintain the fresh taste and make them last longer!

  2. Coffee Cubes– this is great for all you mamas who are iced coffee fanatics! Use coffee cubes to cool your coffee without watering it down. We also love to throw these into our coffee smoothie!

  3. Fruit Cubes-If you have too much fruit and it is going to go to waste, puree and then freeze it! Fruit cubes would make a perfect addition to smoothies!

  4. Stock Cubes- Have you ever come across a recipe that calls for just a tiny bit of (veggie, chicken, beef) stock? Don’t throw it away or let it go bad in the refrigerator. Instead, use the rest of to make stock cubes!

We like to use these silicone ice cube trays because they are BPA, PVC and Phthalate free. They are also super simple thanks to their flexible, non-stick design!
