How To Save Money as a Family EVERY WEEK!

Part of being a responsible, #blossomingmommyandbaby woman is being financially smart and savvy. Unfortunately, this is a skill that seems to be lost in today's society. You, right now, can make the change. You can make the difference in your family's finances. You have the power, the ability, and the smarts to overcome what society deems "normal" (i.e. being in debt, overspending, under budgeting, and more).

Rise up, sister. It's time.

Below you'll find my top 4 tips for saving money, budgeting smart, and being an excellent steward with the money that God has blessed your family with. Yes, your wealth is HIS WEALTH. Let's dig in:

  1. Plan your meals for the week

    • Yes, this takes time, but it will save you TIME AND MONEY in the long run. As you prepare your meals for the week, check for coupons and food items that are on sale in order to get the most bang for your buck.

    • Bonus Bugeting Tip: STOP EATING OUT

  2. Don't buy on an impulse

    • Ask yourself if you really need the item

    • Discuss the purchase with your spouse

    • Think + pray about it

    • Can it wait? Most of the time, the answer is YES.

  3. Look for ways to be entertained at home

    • Nix the expensive vacations, entertainment, and fancy "must-do's". Although these entertainment options are great to indulge in once in a while, just don't make it a regular practice. #EverythingInModeration

  4. Manage your money

    • Take time every week to review your money (spending, income, outcome, savings, budgeting, and more).

    • Discover ways to save everyday

      • Reduce bills (internet, phone bill, electronics, TV, and more)

      • Shop with coupons

      • If you can't afford it, don't buy it

There you have it, girl! My top 4 tips for saving money as a family! Remember, being fiscally responsible is an important part of life. As Dave Ramsey puts it... Learn to save. Learn to give (Church, Community, Those in need). Learn to Spend (as appropriate!)
