Glowing Watermelon-Citrus Granita

Granitas. Have you heard of this gorgeous dish? If not, then sister... you're about to get your socks ROCKED! Granitas (originally from Italy) are traditionally known for their signature combo of "sugar, water and various flavoring" (source).

If I could explain the texture to you, it's a cross between a summer slushy and sorbet and will leave your tastebuds OH-SO satisfied.

Glowing Watermelon-Citrus Granita

Ingredients 

-2 cups watermelon (cubed)

-1/2 lemon

-1 orange

-1/2 packet stevia

Directions 

-Place all ingredients in blender. Pulse for 15 seconds, then blend on high for 30 seconds.

-Gently pour mixture into a 9x9 baking dish, lined with parchment or wax paper.

-Freeze for 6-7 hours.

-Take mixture out of freezer and let set at room temp for 10 minutes.

-Use spoon to scrape off layers until ice crystals remain.

-Pour ice crystals into bowl, top with fresh fruit, and enjoy!
