Fall Fitness Tips

Hey girlfriend, do you love fall as much as we do? There is so much to do when the temperatures drop like apple picking, hiking, visiting the pumpkin patch, having bonfires and cozying up with loved ones! SO PERFECT. It is also a great time to get back into your fitness routine! The crisp air, gorgeous scenery and mild temperatures make for sensational outdoor workouts. This post highlights some of our best exercise tips to keep you happy and healthy all season long!

  1. Get outside and enjoy the scenery. Walkers, joggers and runners will swoon over fall foliage and the day-to-day change will keep you on your toes!

  2. Dress in layers. Fall temperatures are often unpredictable. By dressing in layers you will be prepared! The rule of thumb is to dress like it’s 20 degrees warmer. We like to start out in a moisture wicking tank top, light jacket, fleece headband and compression leggings. By the end of our warmup we’ve discarded the jacket!

  3. Make sure you stay hydrated. People tend to drink less water as the temperatures fall and they sweat less. Drink at regular intervals before, during and after you exercise. To make hydration simple get a water bottle and keep track of how many ounces you’re drinking throughout the day. Shoot for 3-4 liters! Not a huge fan of plain water?   4. Try a group class! Many group exercise studios offer awesome signup incentives during fall. Libraries and community clubs might also add classes to their schedule in the fall. Take advantage by signing up! Alternatively, you can organize a group workout with your girlfriends!
