As women, we want to do it all. We want to be all. We want to ROCK every aspect of our life. And Moms, hear me out… that’s a great idea, but it’s NOT reality. If you try to be everything for everyone (including your kids), you will eventually hit a breaking point. Why? Our bodies cannot sustain that pace over a long period of time.

Unfortunately, society today states otherwise and as a result, we are seeing more and more women experiencing symptoms of stress, fatigue, burn out, anxiety, depression…… the list goes on.

Since 2007, the Stress in America™ survey has examined how stress affects the health and well-being of adults living in the United States. In 2015, reported overall stress levels increased slightly, with greater percentages of adults reporting extreme levels of stress than in 2014. Ladies, taking back YOUR health is vital for YOURSELF and YOUR family. The statistics from stress are scary and they are REAL. Another common symptom from chronic stress is Adrenal Fatigue. In it’s simplest terms, adrenal fatigue is an accumulation of symptoms such as chronic fatigue, lightheadedness,imbalanced hormones, irritability, food cravings, body aches,  and other signs as a result of an insufficient production of hormones from your adrenal glands. Moms, think about it… when your body is constantly in “fight or flight mode” and never truly given time to relax, replenish, or heal, YOU’RE GOING TO LITERALLY BURN OUT.

Your adrenal glands help your body balance hormones, control stress, and other vital functions, so it’s more important now than ever to truly understand the importance of healing adrenal fatigue. How To Heal Adrenal Fatigue in 4 Simple Steps

  • Learn to Nourish. Sound simple, right? Sure- it does… but do you really take time to apply this practice? It takes time, effort, and discipline to truly prepare good, wholesome meals. More fruits. More vegetables. Less grains and gluten (or complete dismissal). Stay clear from inflammatory foods. Hydrate more.

  • Learn to Repair. So, you’ve got the nourishing part down… but are you taking time to repair your body as well? Taking good, organic supplements in addition to a wholesome diet is key for optimal health, wellness, and adrenal repair. Of course, supplementation will look different for every woman and should be something you discuss with your Doctor. It’s something you’ll want to learn more about and the benefits of. Adding a daily vitamin, probiotic, bee pollen, and other essentials is key for radical health and longevity. Remember- too much is not always a good thing. I want you to consult with your Doctor, learning what YOUR body needs, as some women may be more deficient in certain areas OR may have specific conditions, allergies, etc that need to be taken into consideration.

  • Create GLOW POCKETS, daily. AH, YES. Glow Pockets. An uber scientific term (kidding) that is used throughout my second book, Glow. In essence, Glow Pockets are spaces that YOU create throughout your day to truly checkin with your body (mentally, physically, spiritually). Literally, create these moments (or pockets) throughout your day. Give it rest. Give it quiet. Give it exercise. Give it YOU time. In order to restore, you must R-E-S-T. Find your pockets, grab your GLOW BOOK, and breathe.

  • Laugh + Live Well. I honestly feel saddened to write the words… “don’t forget to laugh today”, but it’s SO TRUE. So many women and mothers today go hours upon hours without LAUGHING. Think about it… when’s the last time you laughed? Laughter, happiness, joy, it truly has such an impact on your health. Surround yourself with GOOD, GODLY women who are going to lift you up, inspire you, make you laugh, and sister… LIVE WELL. Stay away from negative Nancy’s. Have enough confidence in the woman you are in Christ that you DON’T have to succumb to what the world deems “normal” (stressed, burned out, unhappy).

Seems simple… but it’s not. Listen to your body, Mom. You have the power to heal adrenal fatigue. Now, go chat with your Doctor and get yourself on the right track. You deserve to feel amazing, empowered, and vibrant. AND we want you to as well!
