20 Essential "Must-Haves" For Your Natural Medicine Cabinet

  1. Coconut Oil - An absolute must from everything ranging in beauty to cooking to amazing health properties.

  2. Vitamin C - This vitamin is a key player in strengthening and enhancing your immune system, and contains healing properties for the skin, organs, collagen, tissue, cardiovascular system, and more! For an awesome resource and more on Vitamin C, check out more HERE: (Source 1)

  3. Prenatal Vitamins- Pregnant, Trying To Conceive, or not, it's vital to have a pure multivitamin on tap for nutritional efficiency. Always make sure to talk with your doctor to find a vitamin that works best for you.

  4. Shakeology - Our "go-to" protein powder that is free from artificial ingredients and full of vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients.. you won't catch us going a day without a delicious shakeology smoothie or smoothie bowl!

  5. Throat Coat Tea- Another staple in our house for an occasional scratchy or sore throat. Throat Coat tea is a delicious blend of licorice and marshmallow root, proving a warm and soothing sensation for the body.

  6. Peppermint Essential Oil- Used to diffuse aromatically. I generally do not apply oils to our family topically, unless they are extremely diluted and with a carrier oil or in a homemade lotion. Peppermint is diffused in our house if feelings of nausea are present (in this case, I do add 1-2 drops with coconut oil and rub on my abdomen!) and is also used to enhance mental clarity and focus. Always speak with your doc before experimenting with essential oils and make sure you do your research. NOT ALL OILS ARE CREATED EQUAL!

  7. Essential Oil Diffuser- Our favorite diffuser!

  8. Neti Pot- Neti pots are great for occasional nasal congestion, irritation, irritation, allergens, and more. Do your research!

  9. Ginger Root- Another key piece on tap. Whether we are putting ginger in our smoothies, tea, or cooking with it, ginger has proven to aid in digestion, nausea, morning, sickness, and more! (Source 2)

  10. Garlic Cloves- Okay, so your breath may not be the best.. BUT your body will thank you! Garlic is an awesome source of antioxidants, can help with inflammation, boosts the immune system, and more.

  11. Chamomile

  12. Apple Cider Vinegar

  13. Lemon

  14. Lavender

  15. Aloe Vera

  16. Hot Packs

  17. Cold Packs
