3 Resolutions Everyone Should Try

Happy New Year, Loves! Today we are sharing the 3 New Years Resolutions we think that everyone can –and should try to–achieve! Ladies, these resolutions are relatively simple and can be tweaked to fit into your unique lifestyle and they have a HUGE payoff. 

  1. Carve out at least 10 minutes for self care every day. Self care is essential for our health and well being. Your form of self care might be different from mine and that is totally ok! Self care doesn’t have to be expensive or fancy but it should accomplish the following: provide a break from stressful/overwhelming situations, help replenish your energy and boost your confidence and self-esteem.

  2. Sweat for at least 30 minutes a day. It’s no secret that a good sweat session can cure almost anything! Exercising for at least 30 minutes a day can help you manage stress, improve physical fitness, delay premature aging, enhance self-esteem and reframe your outlook on life.

  3. Practice gratitude daily. There is always something to be grateful for and by making a habit of practicing gratitude every day we effectively shift the focus off of the negative and shed light onto the positive. Gratitude improves our lives in so many tangible and abstract ways! Science says gratitude makes us happier, more likeable, increases productivity, enhances our spirituality, decreases the amount of time we spend ruminating, improves sleep, develop resilience and so much more.

If you are in a season where incorporating these resolutions just seems overwhelming, that is ok! Instead of tackling all three resolutions at the same time, prioritize the one(s) that are most important to you. Or perhaps you can commit to all three resolutions but need to scale back on the frequency.

Remember, your resolutions are NOT supposed to be another arbitrary task to add to your already overwhelming to-do list. Rather, they are meaningful steps carefully crafted to help you realize the life that you want.
