Healthy Crockpot Apple Butter

HEALTHY CROCKPOT APPLE BUTTER

Ingredients: 

  • 3 large honey crisp apples (cut and cored) *note: leave the outside skin on!

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1/2 large lemon (juiced)

  • 1 teaspoon organic maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

  • 3 whole cinnamon sticks

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions: 

  1. Place all ingredients into crockpot.

  2. Cook on high for 7 hours.

  3. Spoon apples only into high powered blender or food processor.

  4. Blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth.

  5. Spoon into mason jars for storage.

  6. Serve over: toast, ice cream, yogurt, or eat plain!
