Hey Mommy Members!
Today I wanted to share a gorgeous remedy with you- one that is simple, effective, and SO IMPORTANT to have on tap (especially during the cold and flu seasons). Elderberries are an absolute MUST when stocking up your "natural medicine cabinet", as they serve as an incredible immune booster for your children and yourself. Elderberries are high in antioxidants, vitamin A, B, and C and truly help BOOST your immune system when the colds hit. Now, don't get me wrong, there's a time and a place for a medical doctor and by all means, you should go get checked out. BUT, if you're looking for ways to really nix the bug out of your system, give our gorgeous home remedy a shot.
In fact some studies show that, Elderberries may be used for relief from......"sinus pain, back and leg pain (sciatica), nerve pain (neuralgia), and chronic fatigue syndrome. Hay fever, cancer, constipation, urine flow, and to cause sweating" have also been studied. (Source 1)
MEDICAL SAFETY: An important side note from this article states (Source) Not enough evidence is published to see if this is safe for pregnancy and nursing.. Check with your doctor and opt on the safe side to steer clear! Also, for individuals with Autoimmune diseases, it's best to stay away from Elderberries. (Source 1) . As always, check with your doctor should you have any questions or concerns.
