Healthy Hot Cocoa

 Serving size: 1x 8oz cup

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp maple syrup

  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

  • Pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt

Directions: 

  1. Using a frother (if you don’t have a frother, you can complete the following steps on your stove top!), add almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well with fork.

  2. For frother, set speed to medium and let froth for 60-90 seconds or until milk is warm. When done, whisk with fork until all ingredients are well blended.

  3. For stove top, heat all ingredients in saucepan over low-medium heat, stirring frequently with fork or whisk. Remember, you are NOT boiling your milk, instead you’re simply warming. Continue to heat on low-medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until desired temperature achieved. When done, whisk until all ingredients are well blended.

  4. Next, pour hot chocolate into your favorite mug and top with sprinkles, marshmallows and whip cream!
